How I consume music

When it comes to music listen to all sorts of genres as I love music and I don’t a specific preference when it comes to music, as I love music as it is a big part of society and it brings people together as everyone listens to music and has a preference on what type of music they listen to. However, I mostly listen to RnB, pop and rock. But I also I have listened to heavy metal, house music, etc. In addition to this the genre I don’t actually like is classical because I think it’s boring and don’t enjoy listening to it.

When purchasing music, I tend to download it on a music app at the moment in time I use an app called Deezer which is an app that lets you stream music for £10 a month which I find convenient as you can download all the new content for an affordable price a month instead, of paying a £10-15 for one album. Also there is no limit to the amount of music you can download meaning you can build a massive playlist without, having to have a whole shelf full of CD’s and you can change an album your listening to without having to take the CD and going through it to find your favourite song on that album. Also I listen to music on YouTube as the stream every song from the past to recent for free meaning that you can watch thousands of songs without having to pay anything, which is why they have been so successful over the years.

There are many situations when I listen to music. One is when I do coursework as I work more effectively and stay on task as I feel like without music I will go off task as I’ll get bored, and It makes it more fun as I can listen to my favourite songs whilst doing something productive, it also helps me concentrate and makes me motivated to do it. I also listen to music when I shower and get dressed in the morning to wake myself up. I also listen to music in the gym for an extra boost and to make my workouts exciting as the quicker the song is the faster I go especially when I do cardio and It makes workouts exciting because without music workouts can be boring and with music you get extra motivation to go further. Also as I am a musician and song writer I listen to music when I play and for inspiration for when I write my music and as I’m doing an extended project at school where I’ll be making music I’ve been listening to music a lot at the moment for inspiration for when I make my music.
